Nature’s Door Logo and Tagline


Logo_NaturesDoor2The goal for Nature’s Door was to become a kind of map-based Yelp for California pot dispensaries. When I started on the project, the client’s approach was very traditional. They wanted a compass as the icon, and the initial tagline they responded to was, “Location-based search, ratings and reviews.” (Pretty generic.) But during a follow up  conversation they mentioned wanting “cool, fun” branded gear that people would want to wear (t-shirts and baseball caps). At that point I presented the, “Search Find Unwind” tagline as a more alternative, fun lifestyle brand concept. The client loved the idea, eventually leading us to our happy green balloon man / map-pin mascot.
